The StartupJournal recently published an interesting article about businesess who are creating mobile friendly versions of their websites. The article suggests that firms can take up the task of creating their own mobile friendly site with it’s own domain name, etc.
We certainly would suggest creating a mobile friendly version of your site, but you don’t need to create a seperate website for mobile browsers. Instead, we suggest having one site that is accessible on any device. Using modern design techniques, it is possible to create a site that automatically reformats itself for mobile browers.
Here are three big advantages of optimizing your site for mobile browsers.
- You only need to maintain one website.
- Your users don’t need to remember more then one website address.
- You don’t need to double your marketing effort to market two sites.
